10/24/2006: One of the best priced combo I have ever purchased. Being the second mirco next to the SE, this version didn't take long to build. The SE frame helped quicken the build even more. Be careful not to overtighten bolts into plastic parts. I would have flown it the next day but, I had to work. Every piece was accounted for, plus you will end up with extras which Align is good for.
It's been through fifteen flights including six night flights to date with no problems with mechanics what so ever. I did experience a rudder problem which was later found to be a bad servo. The Align motor and speed controller is used with this machine with flight times between 8-10 minutes. Night flying is still worth getting use to with this machine. Even with added weight of night equipment, this XL/CF version handles great. Just don't let it get too far away. This experience will keep me flying any time of the day or night. If you plan on night flying, the carbon fiber frame will give you a head start on adding more weight while still keeping the weight down compared to it's SE brother.
During the day, the yellow canopy, horizontal fin, struts, and blades really stood out. Even during days of overcast and dark backgrounds such as trees. Something to get use to especially since winter is just around the corner. This is my second Trex450, and for the combo Gordon and Bob put together, it is well worth the fun. This will definitely be, NOT my last Trex! FLY SAFE!!!
Thanks HOTHELI!
